About Us
Calvin Nunnally, Sr. is the founder of Know More Bullying. As a career educator, he has always had an interest in the welfare of youth and is aware of the close correlation between feeling safe at school and academic achievement. Interestingly enough, he was bullied at school by several of his teachers!
He has taught at both the elementary and secondary level and served as an elementary and middle school principal. He has worked in educational television where he served as executive producer for a weekly current events program for middle and high school students, served as Program Manager for Virginia’s Teacher Training Institute (one of only 26 such programs in the United States) which involved more than 3,000 participants annually, and was the Director of Educational Services at the television station. As the Suicide Prevention Manager in the Division of Injury and Violence Prevention at the Virginia Department of Health, Nunnally managed the state’s suicide prevention program, which included coordinating the activities of more that 350 suicide prevention trainers across the state, and conducting hundreds of suicide prevention and bullying prevention trainings himself. He is a Olweus Bullying Prevention Trainer, and is certified in numerous suicide prevention training and pro-social behavior models.
